Dr. Md. Mosharaf Hossen is a dedicated specialist in respiratory and sleep medicine, currently serving at Square Hospital. He earned his MBBS from the University of Science and Technology, Chittagong (USTC), and completed his postgraduate Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases (DTCD) from the National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital (NIDCH) in 2023.
Dr. Hossen has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including pneumonia, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiectasis, tuberculosis, pleural effusion, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and COVID-19-related respiratory complications.
He is proficient in performing advanced respiratory procedures such as bronchoscopy, pleuroscopy, pleural biopsy, pleural fluid aspiration, intercostal tube insertion and management, and pleurodesis. He also specializes in the non-invasive management of respiratory failure and sleep-disordered breathing using BIPAP and CPAP therapy.
Dr. Hossen is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and actively participates in national and international workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay abreast of the latest advancements in his field.
